Birds available for adoption
Sol
Species: Topknot Canary
Age: Unknown
Gender: Female
Personality: Sweet & Gentle
Adoption Fee: $24
About: Sol is a beautiful female Topknot Canary with bright yellow plumage. She was originally found and has been in care since December, and is now ready to find a suitable canary-friendly home where she can thrive as part of a proper flock.
Sol is a friendly, easy-going canary who is comfortable around people and other birds. She is not fearful and will happily go about her day while humans are nearby, making her a lovely, calm presence in an aviary setting.
She has strong natural nesting instincts. When first settling in, she became restless until provided with a nesting basket, after which she relaxed and later laid an egg. Since then, she has continued to enjoy nesting behaviours and will happily engage with soft materials such as dried grass, string, and leafy branches for enrichment.
Sol enjoys a simple, natural diet of canary seed, along with occasional dried fruit and vegetables. She also loves bathing and responds well to natural enrichment that allows her to forage and interact with her environment. She is currently calm in enclosure care and shows no fear of other birds nearby.
She would be best suited to an active aviary home with other canaries, where she can safely express her natural behaviours as part of a flock. An experienced bird keeper who understands canary behaviour, will be ideal for her long-term wellbeing.
Sol is a sweet, natural little bird who will truly flourish in a proper social aviary environment where she is understood and supported.
Sonny
Species:Plum-headed Parakeet
Age: ~ 3 years
Gender: Female
Personality: Gentle, shy nature
Adoption Fee: $44
About: Sonny is a 3-year-old female Plum-headed Parakeet with beautiful plum colouring and a soft, thoughtful nature. She has come into care after being left behind by previous owners and is now looking for a home that can offer her the time, patience, and consistency she deserves.
Sonny is naturally shy and takes a little time to feel safe, but she has already begun forming a quiet bond with her current carer. She communicates in her own way, singing, mimicking, and letting you know when she would like a favourite treat like apple, corn, or nuts. While she can be a little impatient at times (especially when food is involved), she is generally respectful of space and will move aside when her enclosure is being tended to.
She enjoys a varied diet of quality seed, fresh fruit and vegetables, and natural foraging items like grass and bottlebrush. Daily fresh food and water are part of her routine, along with opportunities to bathe and explore enrichment within her space.
At present, Sonny has remained within her enclosure due to other household pets, but she would greatly benefit from a home where she can safely experience more space and flight. A large aviary or a secure indoor/outdoor setup would allow her to build confidence and express more natural behaviours.
Sonny would suit a calm, patient home that understands timid birds and is willing to let her settle at her own pace. With time and gentle interaction, she has the potential to grow into a more confident and interactive companion.
Beryl
Species: Sulphur-crested Cockatoo
Age: ~ 12-13 years
Gender: Male
Personality: intelligent, interactive and looking for an experienced family
Adoption Fee: $66
About: Beryl is a 12–13-year-old male Sulphur-crested Cockatoo with a striking white coat, bright yellow crest, and plenty of personality to match. He is a confident, social bird who enjoys both the company of people and the stimulation of other birds around him.
Beryl is friendly and interactive, and while he can engage with both men and women, he tends to form stronger bonds with female carers. He enjoys human contact and currently comes inside each evening for cuddles and interaction, which is an important part of his routine. He also speaks and engages well, making him an entertaining and rewarding companion.
Having previously lived on a larger property and spent time in an aviary with other birds, Beryl is used to space, stimulation, and the freedom to express natural behaviours. He is vocal, as cockatoos are, and will need a home where noise is understood and accepted. He can startle easily at times, so a calm, experienced handler who can read his cues and provide reassurance will help him feel secure.
Beryl thrives in an aviary environment where he has room to move, fly, and interact, balanced with daily human connection. He enjoys a standard parrot diet including seed and appropriate fresh foods and treats, and he is capable of flying both indoors and within an aviary setting.
He is now looking for a long-term home where he can have the best of both world, space to be a cockatoo, companionship with other birds, and consistent, positive interaction with his people. An experienced cockatoo owner who understands their intelligence, noise levels, and emotional needs will be key to helping Beryl truly settle and thrive.

Ollie is cuddly, playful, and incredibly social. He loves interaction and happily chats away throughout the day, mimicking words and sounds like “I love you,” “hello there,” and “wanna cuddle.” He enjoys rolling onto his back for belly rubs, dancing, and joining in whatever his humans are doing. Highly intelligent and curious, Ollie thrives on enrichment, toys, and being part of the household routine.
Winnie has a softer, more independent personality. She is a rescue is a little shy, preferring to observe from nearby rather than seek hands-on attention. She particularly enjoys bath time, singing, and chatting from her perch.
Together, Ollie and Winnie share a very strong bond. They spend their days playing, bathing, exploring, and keeping each other entertained. They enjoy daily time outdoors in their cages to soak up sunshine and chatter with the wild birds, followed by free flight and playtime indoors. Age: 30 years +
Gender: Male
Personality: Bonded seniors seeking calm, experienced home.
Adoption Fee: $132

They need time to settle and feel safe in a new environment, but once comfortable, their cheeky and engaging natures begin to shine. Both enjoy chatting and mimicking sounds, and they appreciate enrichment such as fresh branches and toys to explore and shred.
They are currently housed in separate cages positioned together on a shaded patio, allowing them companionship while still having their own space. They enjoy a diet of seeds, fruit, and vegetables, and each has a large water container for drinking and splashing, something they clearly take pleasure in.
Claude and Spike have previously lived in a home environment that included small dogs and cats, though they are not currently housed with other pets. As mature cockatoos, they will benefit from a calm, stable home with an experienced owner who understands cockatoo behaviour, body language, and the commitment required for long-lived parrots.
These senior boys deserve a secure, patient home where they can continue to enjoy enrichment, companionship, and consistency through their golden years. With the right environment, they will reward their new family with personality, presence, and plenty of cockatoo charm.

Species: Quaker Parrots
Age: Unknown
Gender: Male & Female
Personality: Quirky quakers, intelligent and lively
Adoption Fee: $88 (pair)
About: Meet Kosmo and Leo, two inseparable Quaker parrots with bright personalities and a beautiful bond. Kosmo and Leo are a devoted little duo who do everything together. Leo brings extra charm with his vocal abilities. He says “peekaboo” and offers the occasional soft mumble, adding a playful, interactive spark to their day. Kosmo complements him perfectly with classic Quaker confidence and quirks.
They are currently on a mixed diet and will benefit from a home committed to giving them a healthy balance of pellets, seed and vegetables.

PORRIDGE
Species: Galah
Age: 8 years old
Gender: Male
Personality: Soft natured with a big heart
Adoption Fee: $66
About: Meet Porridge who is an eight-year-old male Galah with a soft nature and a big heart. Rescued as a baby during the Cudlee Creek fires, he’s had a challenging start to life and is now looking for a home that can truly meet his emotional needs.
Porridge is friendly but shy, and he thrives on company. He needs someone who is home most of the time and able to give him regular out-of-cage time, reassurance, and calm interaction. He enjoys preening and affection, though this can sometimes become a little too enthusiastic, so an experienced bird person who understands boundaries and behaviour cues will suit him best.
He can say his name, give kisses, and whispers a mysterious phrase that always keeps people guessing. Porridge has learned to fly since being rehomed, which is a huge step forward, but he still lacks confidence and has not yet mastered safe landings. With patience, encouragement, and consistency, he has the potential to continue building his skills.
Porridge currently plucks feathers under his wings and on his legs, which is likely linked to stress and unmet social needs. A stable, attentive home with routine, enrichment, and companionship will be essential to helping him feel secure and supported. He does well around dogs, though a home without cats would be preferable.
He is covered at night, fed in the morning, and has fresh water daily. While his current diet is seed-based, his new home should ideally support a gradual move toward a more balanced, Galah-appropriate diet alongside enrichment and mental stimulation.
Porridge needs an experienced owner who understands parrots and has the time, patience, and heart to help him become the best version of himself. In the right home, he has the potential to truly blossom into a deeply rewarding companion.
ESME & ERROL
Species: Parrotlet
Age: ~3.5 years
Gender: Female and Male
Personality: Sweethearts
Adoption Fee: $88 (pair)
About: Meet Esme (blue) and Errol (rare green) – a delightful pair of parrotlets whose bond and personalities will melt your heart. Small but full of spirit, they share a beautiful friendship, part affection, part comedy duo, and bring endless joy to those around them.
Errol is a gentle sweetheart who loves to be close to his people and would happily spend the day perched on your shoulder if Esme didn’t insist on keeping him in line. Esme, bold and full of character, is the first to seek attention and never shy to express herself. Despite her sass, she’s affectionate and curious and incredibly endearing once you get to know her.
They adore spending time with their humans, often flying over to see what’s going on, whether you’re working, cooking, or relaxing. In the evenings, they love to snuggle together and have been known to fall asleep tucked inside a comfy T-shirt (preferably an old one, as they love to nibble holes!).
Their gentle chirps and playful chatter fill the home with life, and though they have the occasional squabble, it’s all part of their charm. Esme enjoys her baths, while Errol is still figuring out the technique. They love their fresh foods, especially chillies, capsicum seeds, passionfruit, and walnuts, and are happiest when they can fly, explore, and be included in daily life.
Esme and Errol would suit an experienced bird lover who understands parrotlets’ lively, intelligent nature and can offer them time, attention, and a safe indoor space to explore. They’re perfect companions for someone who works from home and would love a cheerful pair of feathered friends by their side.
KIKI
Species: Eclectus
Age: Approx. 5 years old
Gender: Female
Personality: Full of personality and a real food connoisseur
Adoption Fee: $99
About: Meet Kiki – a stunning female Eclectus, soon to celebrate her 5th birthday in November. Full of personality with just the right touch of sass, she’s ready to find a home that can keep up with her needs and quirks.
Friendly and social, Kiki enjoys sitting on a shoulder and will sometimes lean in for a neck scratch. She loves water, showers, and basking in the sunshine. Food is her true passion (the way to her heart is definitely through her stomach) and she has a reputation as a little “soup chef” when it comes to her meals.
Kiki can fly and she occasionally talks, though she’s more known for her opinions than her words. She has a unique right foot with a few missing toes, so she requires adaptable perching and a feeding platform, but this doesn’t hold her back from getting around confidently.
Her current owner loves her dearly, but recognises that Kiki’s needs have outgrown what they can provide. Kiki would thrive in a home with other birds and would especially enjoy the company of a male Eclectus to bond with. She needs an experienced carer who understands parrots and Eclectus, with the time, enrichment, and resources to ensure she continues to flourish.
An aviary set-up would be ideal, and her feeding platform can be provided as part of her rehome. A small outdoor aviary may also be available if helpful.
