Birds available for adoption
ELSA
Species: Cockatiel
Age: 1 year
Gender: Female
Personality: Friendly & Curious
Adoption Fee: $44
About: Elsa is a one-year-old female Cockatiel with a sweet white and grey colouring and a wonderfully curious, social personality. She is being rehomed through no fault of her own; her current family simply don’t have enough time to dedicate to her, and they want to make sure she finds a home where she can get the company, space, and flight time she deserves.
Elsa loves being near her people. She doesn’t always need to be on you, but she likes to be close, watching what’s going on and inserting herself into daily life wherever possible. She will zoom around the lounge at high speed, follow people around while they get ready in the mornings, and investigate anything that looks interesting, including the crumbs on your plate. She also has a particular talent for squeezing into tight spaces out of pure curiosity.
In her cage she enjoys playing with hanging wicker balls with bells, and she eats a standard cockatiel grain mix with no special dietary requirements. She had a vet check in January 2026 and is in good health with no known issues.
Elsa would thrive in an active home where she has room to fly, explore, and be part of daily life. She would suit an aviary setup or a home where she has access to open indoor space, and she will do best with people who have time to include her in their day. For the right home, Elsa will reward you with her cheerful company and endless entertainment.
KIWI
Species: Indian Ringneck
Age: Unknown
Gender: Female
Personality: Food driven friend
Adoption Fee: $99
About: Kiwi is a beautiful female Indian Ringneck with the potential to become a wonderfully tame and affectionate companion for someone willing to put in the time and patience she deserves.
Kiwi is a bright and characterful bird who is slowly learning to trust the people around her. She will occasionally step up, take food gently from the hand, and, when she is in the right mood, climb up to perch on a shoulder for a little quality time. These moments show just how much promise she has, and with consistent handling and gentle encouragement, she could blossom into a confident and loving pet.
Kiwi is extremely food oriented, which makes her a great candidate for positive reinforcement training, as treats and favourite snacks are a sure way to her heart. That said, she can get a little hangry if meals are delayed, so a steady routine and reliable feeding schedule will help her feel settled and secure. Her love of food also makes her wonderfully expressive, and she is never shy about letting you know when she is ready for her next nibble.
Kiwi would suit a patient, dedicated home that understands Indian Ringnecks and is willing to invest the time needed to build trust and bring out her sweeter, tamer side. With consistency, kindness, and plenty of tasty motivation, she has every chance of becoming a treasured companion and showing off the affectionate personality waiting just beneath the surface.
SNOWY
Species: Pigeon
Age: Unknown
Gender: Unknown
Personality: Sweet & Social
Adoption Fee: $44
About: Snowy is a gentle and good-natured pigeon looking for a new home where she can settle in among other birds and enjoy the easy companionship of her own kind.
Snowy has a soft, mellow personality and is happiest when she has feathered friends around her. She loves the company of other birds and thrives in a social setting, where she can coo, preen, and go about her day surrounded by familiar flockmates. While she is not a tame bird and prefers to admire people from a comfortable distance, her sweet temperament and quiet charm make her a lovely presence to have around.
Snowy is a bit of a flirt and enjoys the company of other pigeons in particular, often striking up little courtships and showing off her playful, sociable side. She is the kind of bird who finds joy in the simple rhythms of flock life, from shared meals to peaceful afternoons spent side by side with her companions.
Snowy would suit a home that already has other birds, especially pigeons, and that understands she is best appreciated as a gentle observer rather than a hands-on pet. With the right company and a calm, welcoming environment, she is sure to settle in beautifully and enjoy a happy, contented life among her feathered friends.
BLUEY & BINGO
Species: Budgie
Age: Approx. 6 years
Gender: Males
Personality: Bonded buddies
Adoption Fee: $48
About: Bluey and Bingo are a delightful pair of budgies looking for a caring home where they can continue to enjoy a safe, comfortable life together.
These beautiful little birds have plenty of personality. They are friendly and will happily perch on a finger, making them lovely companions for someone willing to spend time with them. One of them is unable to fly, but that certainly doesn’t slow him down. He loves being let out each afternoon or evening to run around and explore, making the most of his daily exercise in his own unique way.
Bluey and Bingo enjoy a routine and start each day with a mix of seed and pellets. They are enthusiastic eaters, with a particular love of mealtime, and can often be found happily chewing on the cage wire between snacks. While they generally get along well with other budgies, they can occasionally be a little grumpy, adding to their endearing personalities.
Bluey and Bingo would thrive in a patient home that understands their individual needs and can provide a safe environment, daily enrichment, and plenty of love. With their sweet nature, amusing quirks, and gentle companionship, they are sure to bring plenty of joy to their new family.
HUMMIE & SCHOONER
Species: Galah
Age: Unknown
Gender: Male
Personality: Bonded best friends
Adoption Fee: $132
About: Hummie and Schooner are a bonded pair of Galahs looking for a home together, where they can continue the close companionship they’ve built over the past five years.
Hummie is the more outgoing of the pair and loves human interaction. He enjoys stepping up, sitting on your shoulder, and spending time with people once trust is established. He can be affectionate, social, and quite chatty, though he can also become frustrated if his routine is disrupted or he feels uncomfortable. With patience and consistency, he forms strong bonds and becomes a loving companion.
Schooner is around 33 years old and has had a more challenging past, spending much of his life confined before being rescued. He is slower to trust and prefers people to respect his space, but once comfortable he enjoys gentle head scratches and social interaction on his own terms. He has a wide vocabulary, loves mimicking sounds, and is a thoughtful, observant bird.
Schooner is unable to fly and has some feather loss from past stress, so their future home will need to provide a safe, accessible environment. Together, Hummie and Schooner would suit an experienced, patient home that understands parrots and can give them the time, routine, and care they need to thrive.
SAGE
Species: Quaker
Age: 5-6 years
Gender: Unknown
Personality: Bright & Expressive
Adoption Fee: $44
About: Sage is a 5 to 6-year-old female Quaker parrot with a big personality, a clever mind, and plenty of spirit. Like many Quakers, she is bright, expressive, and knows exactly what she likes and dislikes. She has been a much-loved companion, but recent changes in her home environment mean she is now looking for a quieter setting where she can feel secure and thrive.
Sage has formed a strong bond with one member of her current household and prefers to choose her people carefully. She can be wary of handling and has a history of biting when she feels uncomfortable or unsure, so she will need a patient and understanding adopter who respects her boundaries and is willing to work at her pace. With the right person, Sage has the potential to build trust and deepen that special one-on-one bond she clearly values.
She has recently experienced a number of household changes, including being left alone more often during the day and adjusting to the presence of a new kitten, which has understandably increased her stress levels. Because of this, Sage would benefit enormously from a calm, stable home without cats or other predators, where she can feel safe and relaxed again.
Sage would suit an experienced bird owner who understands parrot behaviour and appreciates that building trust can take time. She may not be an immediately hands-on companion, but for the right person, Sage offers the rewarding opportunity to earn the trust of a highly intelligent and deeply individual little bird. With patience, consistency, and a peaceful environment, she has every chance to flourish.
ESME & ERROL
Species: Parrotlet
Age: ~3.5 years
Gender: Female and Male
Personality: Sweethearts
Adoption Fee: $88 (pair)
About: Meet Esme (blue) and Errol (rare green) – a delightful pair of parrotlets whose bond and personalities will melt your heart. Small but full of spirit, they share a beautiful friendship, part affection, part comedy duo, and bring endless joy to those around them.
Errol is a gentle sweetheart who loves to be close to his people and would happily spend the day perched on your shoulder if Esme didn’t insist on keeping him in line. Esme, bold and full of character, is the first to seek attention and never shy to express herself. Despite her sass, she’s affectionate and curious and incredibly endearing once you get to know her.
They adore spending time with their humans, often flying over to see what’s going on, whether you’re working, cooking, or relaxing. In the evenings, they love to snuggle together and have been known to fall asleep tucked inside a comfy T-shirt (preferably an old one, as they love to nibble holes!).
Their gentle chirps and playful chatter fill the home with life, and though they have the occasional squabble, it’s all part of their charm. Esme enjoys her baths, while Errol is still figuring out the technique. They love their fresh foods, especially chillies, capsicum seeds, passionfruit, and walnuts, and are happiest when they can fly, explore, and be included in daily life.
Esme and Errol would suit an experienced bird lover who understands parrotlets’ lively, intelligent nature and can offer them time, attention, and a safe indoor space to explore. They’re perfect companions for someone who works from home and would love a cheerful pair of feathered friends by their side.
