Adoption Process and Suitability: Treehouse Adoptions takes measures to assess and facilitate suitable matches between animals available for adoption and prospective adopters. However, due to varying backgrounds and histories of animals, Treehouse Adoptions cannot guarantee the suitability or compatibility of any particular animal for adoption.

Animal Backgrounds and Risks: Prospective adopters acknowledge that animals available for adoption may have unknown backgrounds, including prior health conditions, behavioural issues, or past experiences. Adopters accept full responsibility for their interactions with adopted animals and understand that such interactions carry inherent risks.

Adoption Decision and Liability Waiver: Adopters agree that the decision to adopt an animal is entirely their own. Treehouse Adoptions provides judgment-based assessments to aid in the adoption process but does not accept liability for any injuries, damages, losses, or costs incurred as a result of adopting or interacting with an adopted animal.

No Guarantees: Treehouse Adoptions makes reasonable efforts to provide accurate information about animals available for adoption, including health, behaviour, and temperament. However, Treehouse Adoptions provides no warranties or guarantees, express or implied, regarding the health, behaviour, or suitability of any animal for adoption.

Adoption Process and Administrative Contribution: The adoption process includes the completion of an application form and the payment of an administrative contribution. This contribution helps cover the costs associated with caring for the animals but does not guarantee adoption or the outcome of the adoption process. If the adoption does not work out for any reason, we will always take the bird(s) back. However, please note that this contribution will not be refunded under these circumstances.

Meet and Greet Sessions: Upon submission of an adoption application and if the application progresses to a meet and greet session, adopters understand and acknowledge that Treehouse Adoptions does not assume responsibility for the conduct, behaviour, or interactions between adopters and animals during these sessions.

Photographs and Media Usage: By submitting photographs or media content to Treehouse Adoptions, including those taken during adoption events or thereafter, adopters grant Treehouse Adoptions the non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, distribute, and display such content in connection with Treehouse Adoptions’ promotional and educational activities, including but not limited to the website and social media platforms.

Indemnification: Adopters agree to indemnify and hold harmless Treehouse Adoptions, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and volunteers from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses arising from or related to the adoption process, including but not limited to adoption decisions, interactions with animals, or use of information provided by Treehouse Adoptions.

Modification of Terms: Treehouse Adoptions reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time, without prior notice. Updated terms will be effective upon posting on the Treehouse Adoptions website.

Governing Law: These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of South Australia, and any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Australia.
